This is interesting... I saw (and loved) the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know?"... I saw another interesting movie about quantum physics called "The Elegant Universe". I believe it had been a Nova special on PBS. (I saw it on a DVD). Also, a friend sent me some great "Abraham Hicks" CDs. They are available on Amazon.com. You may like them if you aren't familiar with them. I've heard of global meditations for the purpose of focusing energy towards world peace. Thanks for the thought-provoking post! Jeanne P.S. I saw (and loved) the movie “What the Bleep Do We Know?”… I saw another interesting movie about quantum physics called “The Elegant Universe”. I believe it had been a Nova special on PBS. (I saw it on a DVD). Also, a friend sent me some great “Abraham Hicks” CDs. They are available on Amazon.com. You may like them if you aren’t familiar with them.

I see that in the "Tapestry" image over at the GCP web site. Carol: I think the random number generator records what's happening "now". And it's not that trustworthy just yet. Odds against chance at 20:1 are not that impressive. What gets really impressive is like 50,000:1, but I'd settle for 1,000:1. In regards to your theory on predicting when events will happen: I think if the control subject were psychics focusing on a certain point in the future, trying to use their intention to make something happen, it would work. As an aside, there were experiments done with experienced meditators, and they were instructed to focus their intention on making the random number generator pull up more 1's, and it statistically worked. If it registers when many people are focusing on an event that has already taken place then maybe one day it will register when many people are focusing on something and be able to realise when something is about to happen.
