Knowledge is Power
“Knowledge is power” is a popular maxim, “but ignorance is bliss” finishes the phrase. The reason ignorance is bliss is because most people take the easy way through their life, “blissfully unaware.”
During the recent inauguration, President Obama incorporated a call to action for the American public to nurture their children, willingly reduce their hours to save the job of their coworker, and to volunteer. The year 2009 must be the hallmark of knowledge for the American people, for all people. Let us no longer continue complacently in our lives, blissfully unaware of the different viewpoints and various sufferings of others around us. Let us open our hearts and minds to service, to gaining knowledge, to taking action. It is the hard route. It takes courage and perseverance.
I have found three routes for you to gain knowledge without taking on a student loan!
